Married for more than 50 years to Irené, with 5 children and 14 grandchildren, he has had a full life. Here are just a few examples:—

He usually speaks about persuasive communication: every audience needs to know about the psychological techniques that really make people change their minds. But listening has to be fun. o Much of his professional life has been spent in Financial Services. He retired as managing director of a large unit trust (mutual funds) company which he had initiated himself.
o He is an artist, painting in a variety of mediums – water colour, acrylic, pastel and oil. And he has been fortunate to exhibit in great galleries like the Mall Gallery, the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, and the Society of Graphic Fine Art. In 2002, Her Majesty the Queen was graciously pleased to accept his portrait of her mother, Queen Elizabeth. Examples on this site.
o He has written several books – from Getting Your Own Way in Business to Autonomy and Obedience in the Catholic Church. His latest book, Drawing Techniques, (Search Press) was published on 15 September 2008.
